Green smoothie!! I love a good green smoothie. Sometimes it's because I need an extra green boost in my day, sometimes I just feel like my body needs it. Other times, it's just because I need a little break from my routine berry smoothie.
Packing this one with a lot of veggies, makes it a perfect lunch smoothie as well. Or just a great healthy, veggie boost in the morning. Which is never a bad idea. Starting the day of right, with a wholesome, nutritious breakfast, sets your day off to the best possible start. Which leads to making better decisions regarding food for the rest of the day. Why wouldn't you want to do that?
You will find vanilla protein in this smoothie, which is totally optional, but I almost always add it to make the smoothies more filling. Especially if it's after a workout, we want to build those muscles! But regardless, adding protein, will also add more fill to your smoothie, which will keep your feeling full longer. Which is great and super important for breakfast! Again, starting off your day right! Breakfast is the most important meal of the day...
1. Blend, blend, blend.
3. Add toppings if you want to make a smoothie bowl. Toppings like coconut, chia seeds, almonds, peanut/almond butter, buckwheat, hemp seeds, fruit, etc.
4. Eat! Or bring it with you on the go :)
