This week most definitely did not turn out the way I expected... My week started with two days in a row of full day shifts in the store - I adore it but they are still long days and not great for my back. On Tuesday we had the 12th summer day of 2017... the 12th...! Since Lasse and I spent it inside all day, him studying and me at work, we decided to go for a little bike ride to the harbour. It was really a beautiful and perfect evening. We decided that we would have the summers last ice cream - not that there has exactly been a lot this summer but we definitely weren't the only ones that had the idea. It was so cozy, with everyone sitting around enjoying their ice cream, each others company and the beautiful boats.
Wednesday I had to make a decision that took a lot of contemplating and for anyone who knows me - I am utterly terrible at making decisions. Like, it's really bad. I did learn something about myself though, with regards to making decisions, that I plan to use in the future. Hmm, maybe a blog post to decision making to come? From the perspective of someone who seriously struggles with making decisions. Might be kinda fun :)
I am now in Copenhagen for the weekend and excited to spend a little time away from home, before the semester starts up next week... yes, the inevitable is happening. I have high hopes for this semester and I have all the intentions of making it a great one.
Here are my happy 5 for the week - and don't forget to do your own every week!! We all have things to be grateful for and things that make us happy every week and every day - sometimes we just don't recognise them as much as we should. This is a great exercise for that!
1. Wearing a dress for the third time in Denmark this summer
2. Getting back into making turmeric lattes
3. Bike rides to the harbour
4. Waking up before my alarm this whole week and feeling genuinely refreshed and ready for the day
5. Girls night with my mama
I hope you all have an amazing weekend - feel free to share what you'll be up to this weekend in the comments section!
P.s check out some new goodies that I finally put together recipes for in the Goodies section of Eat
