Living in Denmark has definitely given me a new appreciation for the sun. It is definitely not blue skies and sunshine all day long, very often here in little Denmark. I love how the winters and summers are more mild than they are in the States, but I could really go for just a little bit more sunshine.
The sun does something powerful for me, as I'm sure many can relate too. There is absolutely nothing better than waking up to a blue sky and the sun slightly shining in through the curtains. I feel 100 times more motivated to get up and start the day, but also have a great day. As opposed to sad, grey skies and rain... Now in the grey sky days defence, it can be super cosy especially with a little rain, on days or evenings where you can snuggle up with a nice cup of tea and a good book or movie. But on days where I need to get s••• done, it's not great.
The sun impacts mood, motivation and just the whole day in general. These past couple of days we have been lucky enough to have some sunshine, at least for parts of the day and it has been amazing! Finally starting to feel like Spring. Yes, I'm aware that May may be summer in other places, but here it's only the true start of Spring. Could not be more excited for days that will actually feel like Summer.
But the only point of this post was really to just make sure that everyone takes a moment to appreciate the sun and all that wonderful vitamin D that it gives us. And to share some of my favorite sunshine and blue skies pictures from around the world! We should acknowledge it and appreciate it every single day - and a little bit extra on the days it comes out to shine!
Have an absolutely beautiful Monday and remember to appreciate every single day! xxx
