Good morning lovely people and happy Monday! Today I would love to share a little bit about something new that I've being up to the past couple of months. In January, ready to start a new year and really having the motivation to make 2017 the best year yet, I decided I wanted to get a little side job in Aarhus. One Thursday afternoon, I decided I would go down to the local yoga shop that had opened this past summer and presented myself and basically ask for a job. I had checked the GoYogi website, the day before but there was nothing about any job openings, but then during my morning workout something motivated me to essentially say, screw it, I'm just going to go down there and at least present myself. What's the worst that could happen?
Long story short, I walked into the store and was nicely welcomed by Louise, the owner of GoYogi. She politely asked if there was anything she could help me with, and with that I started to explain how I was a student here in Aarhus that was looking for some part time work and that a yoga shop in the center of town would be a perfect spot for me. Before I even finished giving my little spiel about who I was and why I would love to work at GoYogi, Louise threw her hands up in the air and essentially explained that they had just had a girl leave and that she had been looking for some new girls to become part of the GoYogi team. I like to think that it was, in a way, meant to be. And since that day I have been gradually becoming more and more a part of what is the GoYogi family.
I was looking for a job that had an encouraging, happy environment, some nice co-workers and something that was able to fit into my uni schedule. What I didn’t expect was to get so much more than that. I feel as though I have become a part of something amazing, with wonderful customers that are just the kindest that I have ever experienced, and I am given the opportunity to learn so many new things. The community that surrounds GoYogi, whether you are an employee or a customer, is something special, you can get to be a part of something. Whether it be participating in the free Sunday morning classes in the store or it be sharing your favorite new activewear on Instagram.
Which is why I wanted to give a little sneak-peak inside of GoYogi. Tell my personal experience with being a part of the team and sharing some pictures of all the goods you can get from the cozy yoga store. As well as also, sharing my appreciation to the customers. Talking to you girls and guys in the store is so fun and you are a huge part of making a shift great! We love when you ask questions and tell us about your own personal experiences!
The exciting thing is that on Saturday the GoYogi community is growing, by opening a brand new store in Copenhagen! In honor of the exciting day, Louise has packed the day with loads of awesome and fun activities that will be going on throughout the day. We want to celebrate with all of you, so everyone is invited to come be a part of the day! If you live in the Copenhagen area, and even if you don't, you should definitely stop by and say hello!
You can check out the days program by clicking on this link!
The address is Dag Hammarskjölds Allé 42A, 2100 København Ø, but you can also just click the map below and it'll bring you to Google Maps which can help lead the way.
In addition to this, GoYogi is now selling lululemon! For someone like me who grew up in America, were lululemon was very accessable, having it come to Denmark, where it is basically impossible to find, is just so exciting! The quality and longevity of their products blows me away. I've had a pair of leggings for years now and I have washed them hundreds of times and you can't even tell. They look as good as new! And now you can get your own lululemon gear in the GoYogi stores!
All in all, no matter how you love to stay active, whether it be yoga, running, cross-fit, etc., GoYogi has something for you. It's not just for Yogis, its for anyone who wants to get their hands in some high quality activewear! So come visit me or any of the other amazing GoYogi girls in Aarhus and on Saturday you can visit GoYogi in Copenhagen!
On another note, have an amazing Monday and go out and do something good for your body! xxx
