I. Can. Barely. Control. Myself.
Not only did I have my last uni class yesterday, which means study study now but no more freezing bike rides up-hill to campus, but it's December 1st tomorrow! Not that the Christmasing hasn't already started and is in full swing, but this is just the real kick off. The kick off to all the wonderful things that comes with this time of year. As much as I love the Spring, and it comes in at a close second for seasons, I lOVE THIS TIME OF YEAR! It's that energy in the air and in peoples hearts this time of year. It makes me feel like a little girl again.
Last night, the girls and I kicked off our "læseferie" (study break) by baking Christmas cookies for almost four hours. It was crazy and my apartment still smells like Christmas cookies, and it probably will for the next couple of weeks. I swear the smell is in my furniture - but I guess it's not the worst smell to have your apartment smell like.
No these Christmas cookies weren't gluten free, sugar free, dairy free, anything free really. They were your classic Christmas cookies and we wouldn't have had it any other way. This time of year can be really tricky with all of the food and the parties and the drinks and the cookies and the... well the list goes on and on. It's especially tricky if you are trying to loose weight or just live a healthy lifestyle. Learning how to balance it all is really hard and it's something that takes time to learn. I'm still learning every single day. One thing I have learned though, is that don't let your health "get in the way" of experiencing things or being with friends. I used to completely deprive myself of things like this and would barley touch anything with sugar in it. It was miserable. Not because you can't totally live a life without sugar or white flour because you totally can, but you don't have to do it 100% of the time. Just do it 99% of the time, be consistent and listen to your body and everything will be just fine. But these are some of things I work with and can help you with, if it's something you're struggling with, as a Health Coach! :)
Nevertheless, yesterday was a blast and it was the perfect start to the "official" start of the Holiday season! Seeing as tomorrow is December 1st, I will also be opening up the Candid Camille Christmas Calender once again! If you don't know what that is, it is a virtual Christmas Calender were here on Candid Camille we countdown to Christmas by opening a post every day up until the 24th with different posts about Christmas. This year I will also be throwing in some additional posts with recipes, activities and having a health conscious mind during this glorious season. So make sure to check back in tomorrow, December 1st, to read more about it and open up the first post!
Thank you so much for reading! xxx
