Another week another Happy 5, but this week I have the pleasure of writing from an incredibly comfortable bed in Travemunde, Germany. In order to get a little bit away for this Fall break, we decided to take a little spa from for just a couple of days. Arrived Wednesday, leaving today, Friday. It's surprisingly wonderful, what just a couple of days can do. Some times all we need to feel a little bit more like ourselves again, is a little self-care. Whether that be self-care at a spa in Germany, or it be in the comfort of your home. It really makes no difference. The most important thing is that you remember to take care of yourself.
Self-care can be, painting your nails, making some wholesome delicious food, doing a facemask or simply taking sometime to yourself. It can also be getting a massage, going for a walk in nature, meditating or taking a long hot bath with candles and a good book. Self-care is all about doing something good for yourself, and it's totally possible to do that in little or big ways each week or even day. Meditation, for example, is a way of self-care that you can do for yourself everything morning or every evening - or both. Even meditating for three minutes can have a tremendous impact. Very much like these Happy 5's, that focus on finding things to be grateful for in our daily lives, we can find ways to take better care of ourselves everyday - without self-care having to be classified as a mani-pedi or a massage.
1. Feeling a sense of satisfaction after having two productive days Monday and Tuesday
2. My fully-loaded chia pudding for breakfast before we started our road trip to Germany
3. Getting a full body aromatherapy massage #selfcare
4. Morning walks along the water
5. Feeling inspired by different individuals in my life - just even more than usual this week
I hope you all have a beautiful Friday, with at the very least one thing that you are grateful for or brings you happiness into your busy day! Maybe what brings you joy this week, is that thought of a little selfcare time coming up this weekend!
