Staying fit in the summer is easy if you grasp the different active opportunities that are available during this time of year. While on holiday here in the US, I am without access to a gym - which has lead to knew creative workouts (more on that later). One thing I love to do which is probably the best activity I can think of is paddle boarding. Paddle boarding not only works your whole body, but it also allows you to work on your balance, your tan and enjoy the beautiful sunshine.
Paddle boarding is just enjoyable and it's a fun experience for the entire family! Personally, I usually combine it with a core, glute and arm workout in our basement or a walk by the water. I was worried about staying in the same shape while on the trip. One because of all of the glorious food that gets cooked and consumed here but also because I don't have my gym or classes to keep me on track. Once again, it's all about personal commitment but in the summer, especially, it's just as much about keeping it fun! Do what you can to just do active things while on holiday so then if you miss your usual workout then it really doesn't matter. Just stay active, get up and move! As well, as always, remember to eat what you please but don't over do it. You know your body, so listen to it.
So go on a long walk in the morning, take a bike ride in the afternoon to have a coffee bikini somewhere or find joy in water activities. This is only the start of all of the different active things you can do in the summer to stay active, have fun and enjoy the sunshine, all while staying in shape!
