A new ritual to start and hold dear this one - Monday evening pampering. This wonderful ritual was born last Monday when I was feeling a little down and in desperate need of a little lift. With being a student with an unpaid summer internship, there is no money for a soothing facial or full body massage. One quickly learns the importance of being able to pamper oneself. And that is exactly what I did Monday. It was nothing major just did the little things that can make a big difference in making you feel better.
First a nice long warm shower, followed by applying a hydrating hair mask to my "needs desperate help" hair. While I was waiting for the mask to set and soak into my hair I fixed my nails. Clipped them, filed them, cleaned them up. Then back in the shower again to wash out the hair mask.
Then I moisturised my entire body from head to toe in the ever soothing Calm to Your Senses from Origins. Then I crawled into sweat pants and a comfy t - obviously... Proceeded to snag some of my moms new face mask By All Greens, also from Origins. A very different face mask than the one I usually use from Origins but different in a good way! It was like it cooled me to relaxation. With my face mask set, I threw myself on the couch with some magazines and just had some serious me time.
Sometimes we just need some me time - some time to just kick back, relax and zone out the world. It doesn't have to be more than 20 minutes and you don't need to spend a fortune on it. Just a little bit of pampering can go a long way. So don't forget to pamper yourself once in a while, you deserve it and it'll help you feel at your best.
