"Why me?", lots of us have asked ourselves that question before, but what about the question "why not me?". When I first saw this title I immediately thought back to the times that i've thought about that question. Whether it was in a negative or positive sense. Sometimes we ask ourselves this question maybe because we were not included or didn't "win" something. But maybe it makes you think of a time that you thought "why not me" because you believed in yourself. Maybe you asked yourself this question because it dawned on you that, hey, maybe I could do that, so you think "why not me". My thoughts on this saying actually transformed from being in the negative aspect to the positive aspect. Mindy literally got me to look at this saying in a sense that you can and you should believe in yourself, it was almost like she asked me, "why not you".
This book was so much more than I expected it to be and I'm so glad it was. It was really a great book. Not only because you will actually find yourself giggling to yourself but also because it makes you think and reflect. But the book. I won't tell you what happens or my favorite parts because I want you to read it and find your favorite parts. Mindy writes in a way so that you feel like you are floating through her life story with her. But the best part of the whole book is that there is really no filter. Mindy spills all on life, love and work. It's really fun and entertaining.
It's just a great book for some light reading that's bound to put a smile on your face. And who doesn't want that?
I would most definitely recommend this book, her second of two books (haven't read the first one but plan to now after having read this one). It just makes you smile and it's fun to see what goes on behind the scenes of someone like Mindy Kaling.
Have a wonderful day and remember it's hump day!! The weekend will be here before you know it and then you'll hopefully have some time to slow down, snuggle up on the couch and read a good book.
