Earlier this week I posted a little mini quote on Instagram, "don't create limitations". If you read my caption you would have gotten a little taste of why I decided to post something like this. Not only am I getting ready to share more of my world with you, other than just my bowls and smoothies, but this was one of those post that really meant something to me.
We all limit ourselves, whether it's on purpose or not. It's inevitable. But why is that? Why do we limit ourselves? What is this overpowering reason that keeps us from following our dreams and living life to the fullest?
I think about this subject a lot (maybe a little too much). Mainly because I notice it constantly effecting who I am, and not necessarily in a positive way. I'm incredibly insecure and have been for most of my life, but I'm pretty sure that if you ask any 20 year old if they are insecure or have been, most of them will be able to relate. So why is that? Why have we created a world where we feel insecure in our own beautiful skin. Why do we follow the norm even though we know it may not be who we are? Why do we major in Business if our passion is Art?
When did we stop believing in chasing our dreams?
I created Sea Salt & Poms because I noticed my passions and I noticed what made me happy. Because I allowed myself to reflect and let it in, I am embraced it, instead of trying to fight it. I write this blog and post pictures on Instagram everyday because I love it. I love sharing my world with you, even if there is just two of you out there reading this little blog. But why is it then that when I recognize that this is my passion and that I love what I do with this, I still limit myself. I still judge myself. I still sit and worry about what other people will think, when really I should be concentrating on all the love and support I am receiving.
This is my plea to you, please don't limit yourself. Be free! Be exactly who you want to be! Follow your dreams and soar above the clouds! It won't happen over night, trust me, I'm still working on all of this self empowerment I'm promoting here. But I am promoting this because I believe that every deserves to be happy and to follow their dreams. Be able to screw the norm and be who you are, not who you are "suppose" to be.
Wake up every morning and tell yourself, "today I won't limit myself, today I am going to live life to the fullest".
Thanks for reading
Much love xo
