My obsession with tea is quite clear to both anyone who knows me but also to those of you who have chosen to follow along in my little adventure that I call life. Being a tea fanatic, I love finding and experiencing new teas but also new tea houses. My new go to "religious" spot is Perks Tea Room in central Aarhus but that's just within the tiny boarders of my little city. When I travel I find myself searching for opportunities to try new teas, as well bring some home with me, as memory keepers.
Today after a slightly rough morning on the slopes we made our way over to Villa Frainela, which is much more than just a tea house. They started out as this little cafe/tea house many years ago but have since "upgraded" to serving delicious lunch delights as well. Another thing, a very important thing, they have mind-blowing homemade cakes. I LOVE good, old homemade cake but decide never to make it because I would eat the whole damn thing myself. So I save my cake moments to special occasions such as visiting home and birthdays. Which means I REALLY enjoy it and appreciate it. All a part of a healthy lifestyle. Be smart, do restrain yourself, but enjoy this little joys of life. And let me tell you, this nutty piece of cake I had today was most definitely appreciated and I enjoyed every second of it. It's the little things in life.
With it I had some delicious Moroccan Mint tea that, in my opinion, was a nice pairing to the nutty-ness of my cake slice. :) Mint tea is just such a great feel good tea and really just relaxes you from the inside out!
