You've probably heard this a million times and you might even be tired of hearing it, but it's still important to remember. If you're confused or need clarification on something, then ask. Asking for help is okay. Whether your a fresh first year or a senior, well integrated into the system, each new year brings something new. There will be moments where you are unsure what to do next or how to solve a problem, and believe it or not but that is actually okay!
My dad constantly tells me that going to college isn't about learning all the nitty gritty of your major but that college is about learning how to learn. It might be one of the best pieces of "advice" or "words of wisdom" that I've ever gotten. My point, if you don't ask questions you won't learn.
So that's my tip for you today, ask those questions! There are no stupid questions! Best of all, thought, this isn't just a tip if you are a student but a tip for everyone. It's for everyone because just like there are questions in school, there are also questions in our daily lives and sometimes we just can't answer those without a little help. And if you're a student who is worried about asking a question in class, don't, because there's a 95% chance that someone else in the room is wondering the same thing. But if you do feel uncomfortable with asking, we luckily live in a glorious era of email, phones and the wonderful google.
